On Malaysia’s real estate investment trusts (REITs), he said the market was still small and illiquid compared to other regional REIT markets like Japan and Singapore.

“If they (REITs) are bigger and more liquid and diversified, more people would be interested,” he said, adding that he expected the REIT market to pick up with the injection of more assets.
